Your scarf is not pulled from a shelf — it is made for you. Every timeline below reflects the reality of bespoke creation: your piece is woven only after your story is told and your design is approved.

Made-to-Order Production

Fragment de Soi operates exclusively on a made-to-order model. We do not maintain standing inventory. Your scarf enters production only after you have approved your final design, ensuring zero excess waste and a piece created with complete intentionality.

This model means your shipping window includes both production and transit time. Please plan accordingly for milestone gifting or time-sensitive occasions — we encourage early reservation.

Production & Delivery Timeline

Fully insured, signature-required delivery via FedEx or UPS.
International Shipping
7 – 14 Business Days
DHL Express or equivalent carrier. Subject to customs clearance in destination country.

Subject to atelier availability. Rush fees apply. Contact us before placing your order.

Total delivery time = Production Lead Time + Transit Time. For a Holiday 2026 delivery, we recommend reserving no later than October 15, 2026.

Shipping Rates

  • United States — Complimentary insured shipping on all individual commissions
  • International — Flat-rate insured shipping; exact amount confirmed at checkout based on destination
  • Corporate Orders (30+ units) — Freight terms specified in your Commission Agreement

All shipments are fully insured for the declared value of your piece. Signature is required upon delivery. We are not responsible for failed delivery attempts where the recipient is unavailable at the address provided.

Packaging

Every Fragment de Soi scarf is presented in archival-grade packaging designed to preserve the silk and extend the life of your piece. Your package includes:

  • The scarf, folded and wrapped in acid-free tissue within a keepsake box
  • Your personalized archival poem card, printed on premium cotton stock
  • A certificate of origin and care instructions

The unboxing experience is considered part of the atelier's work. Packaging materials are selected for sustainability and reusability.

International Orders & Customs

Fragment de Soi ships internationally. International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees imposed by their country of destination. These charges are not included in our shipping rates and are collected directly by customs authorities or the carrier.

We declare the full and accurate value of all shipments. We do not alter customs documentation at the request of customers.

Fragment de Soi is not liable for delays caused by customs processing, local carrier operations, or force majeure events outside our control.

Tracking & Confirmation

You will receive an email notification at each of the following milestones:

  • Reservation confirmed
  • Story intake confirmed and creative work commenced
  • Design ready for your approval
  • Production commenced (post-approval)
  • Shipment dispatched — with full tracking information

Lost or Damaged Shipments

In the rare event your parcel is lost or arrives damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date (for damage) or the estimated delivery window (for loss). We will open an insurance claim with the carrier and, upon resolution, either reship your piece or issue a full refund.

Photographic evidence of packaging and damage must be provided for all damage claims.
