Every Fragment de Soi scarf is created exclusively for you. Because your scarf begins the moment you share your story, our policy reflects the bespoke nature of what we make together.
Our Commitment
Fragment de Soi creates made-to-order silk scarves through a proprietary creative process — the Poetic Algorithm™ — that transforms your personal memory into a one-of-a-kind wearable work. Because each piece is conceived, written, and woven exclusively for you, standard retail return models do not apply. This policy is designed to be fair at every stage of our creative collaboration.
We stand behind the quality of our craft. Any issue arising from a manufacturing defect will always be remedied fully, at no cost to you.
Cancellation & Refund Schedule
Your refund eligibility is determined by the stage of production at the time your cancellation request is received in writing at atelier@fragmentdesoi.com.

Your $40 reservation deposit is fully refundable at any point prior to the commencement of creative work. It will be applied toward your total balance, which is due in full upon written design approval.
Design Revisions
We want you to love your scarf completely. Each commission includes a defined number of complimentary revision rounds based on your tier:
- Carré (45×45 cm) — One revision round included
- Étole Précieuse (70×70 cm) — Two revision rounds included
- Signature (90×90 cm) — Unlimited revisions until approval
Additional revision rounds beyond your included allowance are available at $75 per round. Design approval is confirmed in writing and constitutes your final sign-off. Production begins immediately thereafter.
Quality Guarantee
We guarantee the quality of every Fragment de Soi scarf. If your piece arrives with a verifiable manufacturing defect — including weaving irregularities, silk flaws not inherent to natural fabric variation, or printing errors — we will, at our sole discretion and your preference:
- Remake your scarf at no additional charge, or
- Issue a full refund of the purchase price
Defect claims must be submitted within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery, with photographic documentation, to atelier@fragmentdesoi.com. Claims submitted after this window cannot be accepted.
Natural variations in silk texture, sheen, and hand-rolled hem finish are characteristic of artisanal production and are not considered defects.
Corporate Orders
Corporate orders (minimum 30 units) are subject to a separate Commission Agreement, which governs cancellation, revision, and quality terms specific to your program. In the event of any conflict between this policy and a signed Commission Agreement, the Commission Agreement prevails.
Corporate cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to atelier@fragmentdesoi.com. Retained percentages on corporate orders are governed by the stage-based schedule above, applied to the total order value.
How to Submit a Request
All cancellation, refund, and quality claims must be submitted in writing to:

- Subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Order Reference]" or "Defect Claim — [Your Order Reference]"
We respond to all policy-related inquiries within 3 business days. Refunds approved under this policy are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
